Job Description

You will help us with your organizational skills and your know-how in hardware-related programming to further develop our shared mobility OS. Your main field of application will be working with C on in-house developed embedded hardware with ARM microcontrollers. The implementation depth ranges from drivers to controlling peripherals (communication, sensors, memory etc). to communication protocols and application logic. You will find exciting tasks and challenges that require creativity and fun in technical thinking in the conceptual design, implementation, troubleshooting and testing in cooperation with the firmware team and in contact with related areas (hardware, middleware, support).


We develop in the firmware area mainly in C on ARM microcontrollers. In addition to good knowledge in this area, the following topics are also central to your daily work and should be familiar to you:

  • real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • serial interfaces and bus systems (e.g. CAN, SPI, I2C, RS232, RS485, USB)
  • knowledge of network protocols (IP/TCP/UDP)

Knowledge in the following areas would also be helpful:

  • Transfer protocols in the IoT area (e.g. CoAP, MQTT etc.)
  • mobile communications
  • Bluetooth Low Energy
  • Electronics
  • GNSS
  • acquisition of sensor data
  • pattern recognition, machine learning
