Job Description
As the market leader in car-sharing technology, we at INVERS have been shaping the future of mobility worldwide for 30 years. Together with our customers, we aim to make shared mobility an affordable and convenient alternative to owning a car. In more than 65 countries, leading car-sharing operators such as Free2Move, Miles, Getaround, Cambio, Flinkster, GreenMobility, and Toyota Kinto use our integrated hardware and software solutions.
We work in Empowered Product Teams based on Marty Cagan’s model. Together, we develop solutions that create real value for our customers and INVERS.
Do you love tackling technical challenges, especially when standard solutions are no longer enough?
As a Field Application Engineer (f/m/d), you will work at the intersection of vehicles, hardware, firmware, and customers. You will analyze specific requirements, find technical solutions, and ensure that concepts become fully functional in-vehicle integrations.
We are looking for you to join us as a Field Application Engineer (f/m/d) at our Netphen location on a full-time, permanent basis.
Become part of the INVERS Family. Together, we make carsharing work.
YOUR NEW JOB AT INVERS
You find solutions when standard approaches fall short: You develop technical concepts for telematics integrations in vehicles that cannot be handled using standard installation procedures.
You analyze vehicle systems: You examine vehicle electronics, bus systems, control units, and diagnostic interfaces, using your findings to develop customized integration and installation concepts.
You bring hardware and firmware together: Working closely with our hardware and firmware developers, you implement customized technical solutions.
You make technology easy to understand: You present your solutions internally and on-site to customers, explaining even complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible way.
You support projects in the field: You assist with product demonstrations, pilot projects, and complex custom installations directly on-site.
You make knowledge accessible: You document your solutions so that Support, Engineering, and future projects can benefit from your work.
A completed vocational qualification or degree in vehicle electronics, automotive mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical field.
Solid knowledge of vehicle electronics, ideally with experience in CAN bus systems, OBD, and electronic control units.
Technical drive and persistence: You don't give up when a solution doesn't work right away. Instead, you enjoy working through challenging technical problems and unusual cases.
Strong communication skills: You can explain technical concepts clearly in both German and English and communicate confidently and convincingly with customers.
Willingness to travel, particularly for customer visits and on-site installations.
Even if not all of these points apply 100% to you, this could still be the perfect position for you! We look forward to receiving your application!
