How to Carsharing: Invers launches its own knowledge platform “Invers Academy”

Invers Academy

Starting now, Invers is offering its own shared-mobility knowledge platform as a freely accessible learning resource. The pioneer in carsharing technology, which has been shaping the industry for over 30 years, is aiming this at carsharing operators who want to further optimize their business, as well as mobility managers who want to integrate new shared fleets into their concepts. In several modules, ranging from the basics to technical equipment and the challenges of operational management, the Invers Academy offers a comprehensive overview of the most important topics in the car sharing business.

Siegen, February 10th, 2026 – Invers provides industry-specific technology for car sharing for over 30 years. The team has many years of industry experience, proven technological expertise, and has gained extensive experience working with operators. This comprehensive knowledge is now freely available at the Invers Academy. The aim of the Invers Academy is to create a platform that bundles complex technologies and proven business strategies in car sharing in a clear and publicly accessible way.

The learning modules: from the basics to technical equipment

The Invers Academy is launching with three modules on the topics of car sharing basics, business, and technical equipment. Each of these modules is divided into further “lessons” to provide a deep and detailed insight into the subject matter. The first module introduces the basic topics of car sharing, strategic and operational divergence, and the development of mobility in general. In addition to definitions of various car sharing models, free-floating, station-based, and peer-to-peer, Module 1 also discusses the background of the global car sharing market. For car sharing beginners, this overview provides a solid foundation for their first contact with the industry. The second module builds on the basics and highlights the business side of a car sharing company. The individual lessons answer questions about choosing the right car model, setting prices, and other business aspects. Module three focuses on technical topics: What is important for software and telematics in car sharing operations? Should the technical equipment be developed in-house or purchased?

All modules can either be worked through step by step or individually and offer comprehensive information for both experienced operators or start-ups. “Invers’ many years of expertise is unique within the industry. With the Invers Academy, we are creating a place for knowledge exchange where we share our collective experience to support other players in the field of shared mobility,” says Bharath Devanathan, Chief Business Officer at Invers. “The Invers Academy is interesting both for newcomers to the industry who want to acquire basic knowledge and for long-standing operators who want to deepen their knowledge in specific areas.”

Three further modules are already in planning. With information on the launch, ongoing business, and challenges, the Invers Academy will soon offer information on operational topics as well. All modules of the Invers Academy are in English.
