Technology is an investment that needs to provide substantial value, a proposition INVERS was ready to give the County of Ventura. As a large and growing county, the team at the County of Ventura was looking for a dynamic solution to fulfill their fleet needs across their different locations and departments. Specifically, they were looking for a solution that would allow them to manage the vehicles and users at all the locations, ideally under one system.

By using the INVERS KeyManager and StandAlone system, the County of Ventura took under-utilized vehicles and placed them in a shared motor pool, which is accessible to over thousands of employees. Having the different hardware options was cost-effective for the County, and it helped them realize potential growth opportunities with their motor pool operations.

 

Fleet Scalability

The County of Ventura opted for two different hardware options to meet the different needs of their various locations. This flexibility allowed them to offer the motor pool across the County, as they weren’t restricted by any barriers on the technology side. As a result, the County of Ventura grew their motor pool operations to over a dozen locations with a range of vehicles like hybrids and electric vehicles.

From the end user side, employees can access the motor pool 24/7 and do not have to worry about paperwork every time. Instead, those administrative details are dealt with by the INVERS system, making it easier for employees and fleet managers. The County of Ventura has also been able to save thousands of dollars in vehicle maintenance costs, minimized overhead costs, and reduced the amount of greenhouse gas emitted as a result of the INVERS-supported motor pool program.
