Free Floating Carsharing

The most spontaneous and flexible mode of shared mobility, mainly focused on intra-urban mobility.

Free floating services allow members to take a vehicle one-way, from point A to point B. Vehicles can be parked anywhere within an operating area, as long as parking rules set by operator are followed.

Corporate Carsharing

The sharing of vehicles or motor pool amongst a closed member group.

Fleets usually consist of company owned cars that may be rented for private purposes during off-hours for increased utilization.

Automated Rental

The automation of traditional rental services resulting in optimized workflows and digital, user-focused approaches.

Automated rental mostly follows a station-based approach, focusing on extra-urban mobility, characterized by more extensive rental periods with daily rents applying.

Peer-to-Peer Carsharing

The sharing of vehicles between two private parties – the vehicle owner and the user; with an operator providing the platform.

With technology, the keys can be securely locked in the vehicle and shared without any scheduled meeting, substituting manually handing over the vehicle keys.

Ride Pooling

Ride pooling enables people to share a vehicle ride with others who are going in the same direction, offsetting the transportation cost with multiple passengers in the vehicle.

Station-Based Carsharing

Vehicles must be parked in a dedicated location at the end of a trip.

Typically, station-based carsharing follows a round-trip model, meaning the vehicle needs to be brought back to its original location. However, one-way station-based carsharing has begun to emerge as well. This operating model is usually associated with extra-urban trips that are planned in advance.

Scooter Sharing

The sharing of motor scooters, also known as mopeds, or motorized kick scooters amongst a membership base; meeting intra-urban mobility needs cost-effectively.

Predominantly, fleets consist of electric scooters that are shared following a free floating concept due to ease of parking.

More than 250 vehicle models of every drive type have already been analyzed and integrated in Shared Mobility OS.

We have developed highly integrated telematics specifically for the Shared Mobility OS to allow vehicles and scooters to be equipped after-market with sharing functions and processes. Quality is top priority here, because the proven longevity of telematics and stability of communications between the vehicle and Secure Cloud form the foundation for a reliable shared mobility offering.

The telematics manages access to the vehicle via smartphone or optional RFID access media. Depending on the configuration, a great deal of vehicle data such as fuel tank and kilometer status is captured during driving.
