Dutch carsharing operator MyWheels is deploying carsharing solution CloudBoxx from Invers to make their new fleet of bidirectional chargeable cars sharing ready. The company is partnering with We Drive Solar for bidrectional charging technology and is now integrating more than 200 We Drive Solar vehicles into the MyWheels fleet by Invers technology. MyWheels is thus enabling a novel solution that uses cars as a neighbourhood energy storage facility for its customers in Utrecht.

The new edition of the Invers Mobility Barometer analyses the overall market for station-based car sharing in Europe for the first time. This form of car sharing refers to the business model with which car sharing began more than 30 years ago: Customers pick up a sharing vehicle at a car sharing station and must return it there afterwards.

On 14 September 1993, company founder Uwe Latsch presented his invention to the press at the University of Siegen: an on-board computer for car sharing providers to automate their rental processes, from keyless vehicle handovers to detailed realtime vehicle data. Today marks the 30th anniversary of the birth of automated car sharing and of Invers, the Siegen-based start-up.

Invers introduces FleetShare, a new solution that enables fleet operators to increase the utilization of their vehicles by temporarily sharing individual vehicles with other operators. In turn, these operators can offer these additional vehicles during periods of strong demand without having to add new cars to their fleets.
